1. Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish clear expectations for behavior within FLVX Fight Sports. All students, staff, volunteers, and visitors are required to uphold these standards to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional training environment.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals participating in or observing any FLVX Fight Sports activity, including classes, events, seminars, competitions, and online interactions associated with the academy.

3. General Conduct Expectations
All individuals must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects integrity, respect, and professionalism. This includes:

• Treating others with courtesy and dignity
• Following all instructions from staff and instructors
• Maintaining self‑control during training and interactions
• Demonstrating honesty and accountability
• Upholding the values of FLVX Fight Sports at all times

4. Respectful Behavior
Respect is mandatory within the academy. Individuals must:

• Use appropriate language at all times
• Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or intimidating behavior
• Respect personal space and boundaries
• Show consideration for students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds

5. Safety & Compliance
All participants must follow safety rules and training protocols. This includes:

• Using equipment only as instructed
• Reporting hazards, injuries, or unsafe behavior immediately
• Maintaining proper hygiene and attire
• Refraining from any conduct that may endanger others

6. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or removal from the academy:

• Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or verbal abuse
• Physical aggression outside of supervised training
• Sexualized behavior, comments, or gestures
• Possession or use of drugs, alcohol, or weapons on the premises
• Theft, vandalism, or intentional damage to property
• Filming or photographing others without consent
• Using FLVX Fight Sports, its platforms, or its environment to convey personal political opinions, promote political agendas, or influence others politically.
  FLVX is a neutral training environment and must remain free from political messaging.

7. Staff‑Specific Conduct Requirements
In addition to general expectations, staff must adhere to the following:

• Maintain professional boundaries with all students
• Avoid favoritism or inappropriate personal relationships
• Keep all physical contact instructional and necessary
• Staff members are strictly forbidden from any form of intimate or romantic relationship with any student at FLVX Fight Sports.
  This rule applies to all students, regardless of age.
• Staff shall follow the Two‑Adult Rule (2‑vs‑1 Rule) at all times. A single youth must never be alone with a single staff member.
• No one‑on‑one interactions between staff and youth are permitted, whether in person, online, or through messaging.

8. Youth Protection Standards
Individuals must follow all youth safety protocols, including:

• No unsupervised one‑on‑one interactions with minors
• No private messaging with minors outside approved channels
• Ensuring all interactions occur in open, observable spaces
• Immediate reporting of any concerns involving a minor’s safety

9. Social Media & Online Conduct
All online behavior associated with FLVX must remain professional. Individuals must not:

• Post harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Share confidential or identifying information about students
• Represent FLVX in a manner inconsistent with its values
• Use FLVX platforms to express personal political views

10. Reporting Misconduct
Any violation of this Code of Conduct must be reported to leadership immediately. Reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly. Retaliation against individuals who report concerns is strictly prohibited.

11. Disciplinary Action
Failure to comply with this policy may result in:

• Verbal or written warnings
• Suspension from classes or activities
• Termination of membership or staff role
• Notification of authorities when required by law

12. Policy Acknowledgment
All students, staff, and volunteers must review and acknowledge this Code of Conduct as a condition of participation at FLVX Fight Sports.

ANTI‑HARASSMENT & ANTI‑BULLYING POLICY

1. Purpose
The purpose of this Anti‑Harassment & Anti‑Bullying Policy is to ensure that FLVX Fight Sports maintains a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, and abusive behaviour undermine the integrity of the academy and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

2. Scope
This policy applies to:

• All students (youth and adult)
• All staff, instructors, assistants, and volunteers
• All parents, guardians, and spectators
• All individuals participating in or observing FLVX programs, classes, events, seminars, or competitions

This policy applies both inside the facility and in any FLVX‑related environment, including online communication and social media.

3. Definitions

3.1 Harassment

Harassment includes any unwelcome behaviour—verbal, physical, or digital—that demeans, threatens, intimidates, or humiliates another person. This includes but is not limited to:

• Insults, slurs, or derogatory comments
• Sexual comments or advances
• Unwanted physical contact
• Threatening or aggressive behaviour
• Persistent unwanted attention
• Behaviour that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment

3.2 Bullying

Bullying includes repeated or intentional behaviour that causes physical, emotional, or psychological harm. Examples include:

• Intimidation or coercion
• Mocking, belittling, or humiliating others
• Excluding or isolating individuals
• Spreading rumours or false information
• Abuse of power or authority
• Targeting individuals online (cyberbullying)

3.3 Discrimination

Discrimination includes unfair or prejudicial treatment based on:

• Race or ethnicity
• Gender or gender identity
• Sexual orientation
• Religion
• Disability
• Age
• Body type or physical ability
• Any protected characteristic under applicable law

4. Gender Inclusivity

FLVX Fight Sports is committed to providing a training environment where individuals of all gender identities feel safe, respected, and welcome.

The following standards apply:

• All members have the right to be addressed by their chosen name and pronouns.
• Gender‑based harassment, misgendering, or derogatory comments about gender identity or expression are strictly prohibited.
• Members may participate in classes, programs, and activities in alignment with their affirmed gender identity.
• Staff must intervene immediately if gender‑based disrespect or harassment occurs.
• No individual may be excluded, singled out, or treated differently based on gender identity or expression.

FLVX maintains a zero‑tolerance stance toward transphobia, sexism, or any behaviour that undermines gender inclusivity.

5. Anti‑Racism & Anti‑Hate Standards

FLVX Fight Sports is an explicitly anti‑racist and anti‑hate organization. Racism, hate speech, or discriminatory behaviour—whether overt or subtle—will not be tolerated.

Prohibited behaviours include:

• Racial slurs or derogatory comments
• Mocking accents, cultural practices, or physical features
• Stereotyping or targeting individuals based on race or ethnicity
• Displaying or referencing hate symbols
• Sharing racist, extremist, or hateful content in person or online
• Jokes or “banter” rooted in prejudice or bias

All members must contribute to a training environment that is respectful, diverse, and free from hate or discrimination.

Any racist or hate‑motivated behaviour will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including permanent removal from the academy.

6. Zero‑Tolerance Standard

FLVX Fight Sports maintains a zero‑tolerance stance toward harassment, bullying, discrimination, racism, hate speech, or abusive behaviour. Any individual engaging in such behaviour will face immediate corrective action, which may include:

• Removal from class
• Suspension
• Termination of membership
• Revocation of volunteer or staff duties
• Notification of authorities when required

7. Policy Acknowledgment
All students, staff, and volunteers must review and acknowledge this Code of Conduct as a condition of participation at FLVX Fight Sports.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Health & Safety Policy is to establish clear standards and procedures that ensure a safe, controlled, and respectful training environment for all students, staff, volunteers, and visitors at FLVX FIGHT SPORTS. This policy is designed to prevent injuries, promote responsible training practices, and support a culture of awareness, professionalism, and accountability.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

• All employees, instructors, and assistant instructors
• All volunteers
• All students (youth and adult)
• All visitors and spectators
• All classes, programs, seminars, events, and open mats

3. General Health & Safety Standards

3.1 Facility Safety

FLVX FIGHT SPORTS will:

• Maintain clean, dry, and hazard‑free mats
• Ensure equipment is safe, functional, and regularly inspected
• Keep walkways and common areas clear
• Provide adequate ventilation and temperature control
• Maintain accessible first aid supplies
• Maintain defined emergency protocols for serious injuries, including immediate response procedures, communication steps, and escalation to emergency medical services when required
• Ensure all instructors maintain up‑to‑date First Aid and CPR training appropriate to their role

3.2 Instructor Responsibilities

Instructors must:

• Supervise all training activities
• Enforce safety rules consistently
• Demonstrate proper technique and control
• Stop unsafe behaviour immediately
• Modify drills for students with injuries or limitations
• Maintain appropriate student‑to‑instructor ratios

3.3 Student Responsibilities

Students must:

• Follow instructor directions at all times
• Train with control and respect for partners
• Maintain proper hygiene and clean uniforms
• Remove jewelry and accessories before training
• Report injuries or hazards immediately
• Avoid training while ill or contagious

4. On‑Mat Safety Rules

4.1 Required Conduct

All participants must:

• Use controlled, technical movement
• Tap early and release submissions immediately
• Communicate clearly with training partners
• Avoid excessive force or reckless behaviour
• Maintain awareness of surroundings

4.2 Hygiene & Cleanliness

To prevent illness and skin infections:

• Mats are cleaned and disinfected daily
• Students must wash hands and feet before training
• Cuts or abrasions must be covered
• No shoes on the mats at any time
• Students must never leave the mat surface in bare feet and return to the mats. Footwear must be worn when leaving the mat area for any reason.
• Students must wear footwear in washrooms, showers, and change facilities at all times.
• Students must notify instructors immediately if they believe they or anyone else has an observable skin condition that may be contagious.
• Students must not train if they have any suspicious skin condition that has not been diagnosed by a medical professional.
• Students are encouraged to train in long‑sleeve rashguards and leggings/spatz to reduce skin‑to‑skin exposure and minimize infection risk.
• Students are encouraged to shower both immediately before and after training to reduce bacterial load and prevent the spread of skin infections.

5. Banned Techniques (Strictly Prohibited)

The following techniques are fully banned at FLVX FIGHT SPORTS and may not be taught, drilled, demonstrated, or performed under any circumstances:

5.1 Fully Prohibited Techniques

• Jumping guard
• Flying submissions (e.g., flying armbar, flying triangle, flying omoplata)
• High‑amplitude takedowns (any lift‑and‑drop or forceful throw risking uncontrolled landing)
• Neck cranks
• Cervical spine compression
• Heel hooks (in youth and beginner classes)
• Reaping the knee (in youth and beginner classes)
• Small joint manipulation (fingers/toes)
• Slams of any kind
• Striking during grappling classes
• Any technique applied with malicious intent or reckless force

6. Injury Prevention & Reporting

6.1 Injury Reporting

All injuries — minor or major — must be reported immediately to the instructor on duty.

Instructors will:

• Assess the injury
• Provide basic first aid if appropriate
• Document the incident
• Recommend medical attention when necessary

Students may not return to training until they can do so safely.

7. Youth Protection & Safety

FLVX FIGHT SPORTS maintains strict standards for the protection of minors.
All staff and volunteers must:

• Follow the Youth Protection Policy
• Maintain appropriate physical and verbal boundaries
• Avoid one‑on‑one unsupervised interactions with minors
• Report any concerns immediately to the Head Instructor or Owner

A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check is required for all employees, instructors, and volunteers working with youth.

8. Illness & Communicable Disease Prevention

To maintain a healthy training environment:

• Students must not attend class if experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious symptoms
• Skin infections (ringworm, staph, etc.) require medical clearance before returning
• Staff may ask any participant to leave the mats if illness is suspected

9. Enforcement & Compliance

Failure to follow this policy may result in:

• Verbal warning
• Removal from class
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent removal from the academy (in severe cases)

Safety is the highest priority at FLVX FIGHT SPORTS.

10. Acknowledgment

All employees, volunteers, and instructors must sign the FLVX FIGHT SPORTS Policy Acknowledgment Form confirming they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Health & Safety Policy.
